Changing screenshots from .png to .jpg format

How do I change the format of my screenshots? I tried to go to edit and crop and save hoping then once in gallery the screenshot would be jpg but didn't work. Many times I want to attach a photo to email and the png format is not compatible with many of the recipients devices. Help! Thank you.

I suggests you to use 3rd party Photo Editor Effects application for this purpose
