Charging is Extremely Touchy?

So this issue has been bugging me for a while now but I have had the Tmo G5 since about a week after it came out and it's been great but recently the charging has been annoying as all hell. If I even look at the cable while it's plugged in it kicks out of fast charge and sometimes just stops charging all together even though it says "charging X%" on the screen. I can't use any other cable than the one it came with despite having 3 different ones and the Aukey 2 port Charger I have that is QC3.0 certified only works sometimes which is solved by plugging the phone in a multitude of times then setting it down without disturbing the cable and not touching it at all.

What gives? Is my port going bad or something?

I had this issue with my Lumia 950 that I had before getting the LG G5. Turned out it was just compacted pocket lint that built up over time inside the charging port on the phone! With some careful digging using a SIM ejection tool I was able to clean it out and it worked perfectly fine again.

I agree with the poster above me - check to see if there is any buildup. My G3 has experienced similar problems. Sometimes a software update or a restart will help.

Hey guys.... Keep your ports clean. It never occurred to me that dirt buildup might not let the cable seat all the way down. Never noticed my original cable wasn't actually sinking all the way into the port itself. Pulled the battery and cleaned the stupid hole with a staple and lo and behold...All 4 of my cords charge my phone at full Fast Charge speeds with no issues moving it around or anything.
