Charging issues using other chargers

Well sounds like I'll just grab a new cable on Amazon and hope that solves the issue. I have tried at least 5 other cables around the house and they all work fine.

To clear up any confusion the cable that does not work is a regular USB cable into a 5 USB port wall outlet. If I go ahead and plug any other USB to USB cable in there it works fine, and again, this cable with USB adapter works fine for any other device I try it on, so I was confused as to why it would work w/ the new P2. But I guess knowing is not important, I'll just order a new cable and I figure it should work, as every other cable I have around does, they just aren't long enough.

Also, I am aware that the charge rates may differ not using correct chargers and cables, this does not matter to me overnight where this charger and cable is, but thanks.

It sounds like the 5-port charger you're using has 5 USB A ports on it, correct?

I use these cables with my old USB A chargers with both my Moto Z Force Droid and Pixel when I do that need fast charging:

Just make sure that the cable you buy has the 56k ohm pull up resistor or you could damage your charger.

..also could you let us know what products you're using?

My family is currently using a Nexus 6P, two Pixel XL, and two Pixel 2 XL. We've used A to C cables safety with all of these phones... although since these phones use the USB Power Delivery standard Fast Charging will not work with A to C cable... a C to C is required for Fast Charging via Power Delivery. Below are the A to C cables and C to C cables I've been using. What I like about these cables is they have a color strip around the end so I can quickly tell these are my C cables and not my Mico cables.

I've used micro to C adapters also, but just like any C cables make sure they properly follow the C spec.

I've also been using this awesome battery pack below that supports USB-A, Micro-USB, and USB-C. So this battery pack can change a device using A and/or C and the battery pack can be charged by Mico or C.

I've been using the Aukey QC 3.0 and the QC 2.0 car chargers with Anker PowerLine A to C cables and both quick charge and not fast charge without a problem. I have the bricks that came with my 2 xl 's in my main house and I have used a Samsung brick with a PowerLine cable at my other house with no problem and it quick charges with that but of course no fast charge. I ordered a 38 watt Aukey on Amazon to be able to fast charge with one brick. And I have also charged with no problem using my BlackBerry PlayBook charger and the Aukey adapters with the 56 kΩ chip built in.
