chat features stuck on trying to verify

for some reason chat features are stuck on trying to verify i have tried to verify my phone number by entering it in but nothing seems to work and have cleaned cache and data but nothing seems to be working anyway to fix it

After the clear data did you reboot the phone? Might want to try that sometimes it takes a little bit before it kicks back in

yes I did nothing happens

How long has it been since you've noticed it hasn't verified

quite a while think it's just stuck

Try going to settings>connections>mobile data>APN at the upper right corner tap and reset APN

Now clear messages data then force stop and recheck if not ready at this time give it some time and check later

okay done that it said setting up chat features will let you know when ready

Well factory reset or coming from another device it will sometimes show chat features right away or might take 24 hours, now if your on a ROM and rooted not sure

yes it does that but still stuck on veryfiying phone i am on a rom and not rooted the phone got reformated then i restored messages using smsbackup and restore so i don't know what to do. do I even need RCS chats on my phone

I would wait 24hrs especially after you tried some steps, is RCS chat worth it that is up to you if you like to have encrypted messages, better photos and videos to share with others and can be used over WiFi , read receipts also between users.

so should I just turn it off for a few days apparently the post i sent from the other forum someone said wait 10 days

this is what he said in 3 steps

You must disable chat on all previous devices by going here and (on bottom of this site) follow directions: https://messages.google.com/disable-chat
Then you must TURN RCS CHAT FEATURES OFF in GM and wait exactly 10 days.
If you turn RCS ON before 10 days are gone, the clock starts all over again for 10 days.
You literally have to be patient and wait 10 days with the RCS OFF for 10 days.
After 10 days, turn RCS ON and you will see CONNECTED !!!!
