Nope. I don't get it. I downloaded the full rooted image file. Do I need to unzip that? My comp just freezes... help me out. I don't think I've ever had this much trouble. It's obvious I'm doing something wrong.

The full file shouldn't need to be unzipped. The one I have is rooted.system.image.tar. If everything checks out, just load it using Odin.

Almost finished downloading Jelly Belly 3.5 so so will be off to flash that soon. :)

Ok...root access granted. Heres what i did. Plugged S3 into comp via usb. Then powered down. Powered back up into download mode. My comp then installed different drivers. Opened odin and flashed the full rooted version. Odin did its dance and now im a happy camper...good thing ita done now,The buzz isyncr comin on pretty strong :beer:;):D

Congrats on getting it rooted. Just flashed Jelly Bean 3.5 on my Galaxy Nexus. The dev said on the RW thread that it's fine to dirty flash from a 3.x build so I opted for a dirty flash. This build fixes MMS while connected to wifi which is important to me. Need to sleep soon.

Thank you for the news. The wifi mms problem irritated me so much. My wife ass well. Im Gonna have to flash this tomorrow. I don't trust much more than My typing right now and im not done with My cocktail yet. :D:beer:

So its 9:30am and I already need a damn drink... booted up my computer and it said that there is no boot media. That means something was up with my SSD and at point I was like WTF! This all happened at around 8:40am btw. So I took out the other HDD and went into the BIOS, SSD isn't showing up. I was all prepared to go to the nearest MicroCenter and buy a new SSD lol. Instead I took my SSD out of the case's hot swap bay and plugged it in directly to the motherboard as you would any other hard drive and it worked. Hmm... at least my SSD isn't dead. I guess my HotSwap bay died which is fine, I only used it because it was convenient to use for a SSD.

I was literally about to freak because I have all my CPA prep stuff on the SSD and I didn't have time to export my work last night (speaking of that going to export it to dropbox now lol). Bullet dodged. I think I need some Baileys to go in this coffee.

Making a nandroid now and then...gasp...dirty flashing JB 3.5!

My phone got hot as hell yesterday and ripped through about 30% battery in an hour while in standby mode. It was fine for a good 24 hours before that, which was very weird. I thought it was a kernel thing but it seems that 3.5 addresses that issue, along with the brightness. I'll post some thoughts later after everything settles in.

EDIT: CRAP!! I accidentally hit wipe data, not cache...guess it's not going to be so dirty after all :(.

Thinking of giving Bugless Beast a try in the next few days. Been running Jelly Belly for a while and keep hearing a lot of buzz about BB.
