I've been reading about it and I need to just do it and get it over and done with. I know I'll thank myself later if I need it. My lazybones are already in bed. I'll do it when I pull the laptop out.

Takes a few minutes and worth the effort. Looks like Samsung didn't store the IMEI in non-volatile memory so ROMs can overwrite your IMEI if they write to that location for some reason.

I just watched a YouTube video about how to do it. Lol its simple. I'll male sure I do that before I flash any other rom. Definitely an effortless process. Thanks for the push in the right direction.
I haven't read any of the threads about flashers losing their imei but what happens when its lost?

Damn I wish I had the time to work out. Used to do it on the daily in high skool and college. After a days work now... I just don't have it in me to hit the weights. I try to rotate which arm I use for drinking though. So in a sense I'm still pounding the biceps. Lol. Whatever helps me sleep at night,right!

I hear ya. My fiancee wants to start getting a routine in place so luckily my ghetto apartment complex has a gym in the office. I usually do it at home though, 4 times a day 30 minutes at a time.

Does anyone know the state of AOKP development on the TouchPad? I am running CM9 on mine now but would like to go to a stable AOKP but it's not looking like they are keeping up with it.

If your IMEI is erased there may be a way to get it back but its so easy to make a backup and doesnt take very long either.I did just as a pre caution .

I did this last night just as a precaution lol. Can't be too safe with something like that. I actually went back to flash CleanROM 1.3 on my GS3. It's an ICS ROM sadly but I am going to wait a little bit until CM10 gets a little bit more stable. Had another random reboot on Skank last night and I am gonna need my phone in a working state for my vacation lol.

By the way, new Official CM10 grouper is up... 8/20. Don't know if I am brave enough to give this one a try since last one soft bricked me lol. The kernel that D posted last night is pretty awesome I must say.

You can restore your IMEI even if you don't back it up, but it leaves your phone running in roaming mode all the time. The backup process is quick so definitely worth doing.

Staying away from official CM10 on the grouper until we have confirmed successes lol...
