[Chatter] "Where everybody knows your name ..."

Re: [CHATTER] [2.0] And the band played on...

Can we merge this with the old-school chatter thread? I want to go back. :)

Wait I was totally joking!!!

Lol!! That confused me so much. I kept reloading and it kept going back to old chatter. I was like, I know computer, you miss the old chatter, but, you gotta move on and reload the new chatter for me. Then the light bulb went on.

You know...I very very very rarely say this...
But I enjoyed the movies more than the books.

I enjoyed the movies a lot. But the extended version of RotK really rubbed me the wrong way. PJ took some creative liberties that didn't work with the actual storyline of the book. And one of his changes would've drastically altered the whole book. Uncool if you ask me. If he stuck with the details actually in the book I'm sure I would've liked that movie more.

Just want to be back where you're comfortable?

Chatter shirt = brilliant! Get on it!

Also, I didn't like the books either. I respected them, but other than the Hobbit (ironically), they were long, poorly paced, overly-detailed, and, well, boring.

I'm crying on the inside.

lol it happens. I read them in college and I was just unimpressed with how they read. Great works of achievement, don't get me wrong. But poorly constructed and a bit messy.

That being said, I loved War and Peace...so....

I've lost track of how many times I've read Lord of the Rings. Seen the movies far too many times to count too. It was excellent how the movies were released during finals week in college. I saw the midnight showing of Two Towers on the day that I had an 8AM final. Went to the movie and then came back to a few hour cram session before going to the final. Miserable timing.

Someone get this in the Contest forum, stat.

Also, they are just kinda silly. I liked them, but, can't take them seriously. I need my fantasy to be believable... wait, what?
