Cheap Bluetooth to Aux for Car?

My car has phone bluetooth but only for calls, not media. I do have a media aux in however it is a pita to connect since it is in the console where I dump a lot of stuff. Ideally, I would like to use a bluetooth receiver adapter to connect to aux in for streaming media only, not for phone calls. Anybody know of a cheap bluetooth 3 a2dp to aux in for cars? There is one on Amazon for 80 bucks but I'd like to keep it under $20.

There are some cheap Chinese adapters sold on ebay but I don?t know if they work so I'm looking for someone who actually has a device like this that works.

Bluetooth receiver is one way to do it, and a kinda neat way at that. ...but a simpler route may be just to get a double-ended 3.5mm minijack cable and leave one end connected to the the aux-in and the other awaiting your phone/tablet. That's what I do. Something like this:

I use a BluBridge mini jack RX. I keep it plugged into the AUX jack and use it to play the music through the car stereo. You will need to charge it but for me not much of an issue as I have a charger next to the aux port in the center console.

...and me? Sound quality. Wouldn't be just as convenient to have a 3' 3.5mm line waiting for you to connect your phone to it?

Not even close. Can't do it while driving. My phone is on a dashboard brace for navigation and aux plug is in console so it's a long stretch of wire too.

Sound quality is better through bluetooth. A crisper sound and louder at lower levels. If you receive a call, you can just answer from the phone w/o taking the jack out if it was connected through wires (need to go into bluetooth settings and change it to "only media played to bluetooth" for the device).

I used both products listed above and I prefer the bluetooth. The only con I have for it is that you have to remember to keep it charged. If it runs low during usage and you plug it to charge, you will lose your connection and you have to turn the bluetooth piece back on.

just so odd they cannot charge and function at same time. i would prefer to never unplug charger

They may not all have that limitation. Perhaps the one I pictured, unless I'm misunderstanding, will allow for charging and usage simultaneously.

You can also use SoundAbout to split the bluetooth and headphone audio. It works very well and sound is MUCH better through a wired connection. I'm sorry, but as far as technology has come, a wired connection is still better than wireless for audio.

As I said I don't care about quality. I care about convenience and hate wires. My only issue is getting both the car and media device connected automatically. What happens now is car bt connects first, then media device connects (it is set for media only under bluetooth settings), then car bt disconnects even though it is for phone only, then I turn on wifi settings and manually connect car again, now both remain connected and work properly. I would just like to connect to media device without losing car bt then being forced to turn it back on.

I'm trying an app called bluetooth to connect. If that doesn't work I'll try sound about. The problem is it will take a year to try all the settings. I have a hunch car bluetooth will disconnect once any other bluetooth device connects no matter what I do.

thats a common problem with srereo headphone plugs. a new cable may solve your problem. the britelink works while plugged into power socket so I just leave mine plugged in. I do have to turn the britelink on when I want to use it and need to manually fiddle if I want 2 bluetooth devices connected simultaneously

It almost sounds like the 3.5mm cable may not be fully inserted, though I'm sure that's not the case.
