I had that error before the last update and had to do a factory reset to get rid of it. No idea what caused it.

Up at 6:30 AM in Connecticut and checked for the update and it was there. Downloaded no problem. My 2nd device is on its way unfortunately because the one I have now is not acting right. Sometimes it will not allow audible alerts to work on the device such as alerts for the different emails, text messages, key presses, etc. Did a hard reset once already and it seemed to fix the problem for a little while but it started back up again.

WiFi on = "checking for available update. please wait....." 10, 20, 30, 40 minutes, no change

Wifi off = "check for updates is not available at this time"

Thoughts?

Sounds like the server is jammed, probably not your phone in your case or at least I hope so.


I was able to get it downloaded and installed shortly after midnight CST. For all of you doing this, know that it will take a few minutes even after ICS boots for you to be able to do a few things and you will have to delete and reconnect your exchange accounts if you have them so make sure you check what your settings are before you try to upgrade and have them ready. I say that because I realize some of you do not manage your work network and may not be completely savvy on the way that works.

If I can be of any help to anyone, shoot me a message and I'll do what I can.
