Check out the HTC 10 at Verizon store on Friday!! Anyone?

The LCD isn't bad! It's a matter of opinion on which device someone finds more appealing. I can find faults in both devices, but in the end it's all up to the user to decide what they would rather stare at.

I'm thinking of getting one today at Verizon. Samsung has ticked me off and they have HORRIBLE customer service. Screw them.

One question, is 1080 recording on the 10 locked to just 30fps?

Checked it out today, very impressed. I have the note 5 and it didn't seem small at all.

i went! the store on pine street near market (downtown san fran) has it. i loved the feel of it in my hand! it reminded me so much of the m7 in all the right ways (and none of the bad). once tmo starts sales im going.

What...?

People stare at their phone screens for literally hours a day. Evidenced by everyone on these forums trying to get 5+ hour SOT. It's 2016, most people would rather have the best phone display rather than the best TV display. YouTube at 1440p on my Note 5 (basic screen mode) looks gorgeous.

If you'd like to be objective, please enlighten us on the 10's pink tint, dimmer display, and subpar refresh rates leading to ghosting (in 2016!). Why do these properties not "suck"?

"Gorgeous" is still not true to life reproduction.
Watching video is still better ( more real) on my N7 than on any latest Amoled. Especially when it comes to shadows.
And frame rate is fine for videos. The "ghosting" might be an issue only with some graphic intensive games.
Samsung still can't figure out the hardware problem on it's Amoled panel to meet sRGB Standard - their diamond pentile sub-pixel design can not to well on it's own. Software tweaks are essential, but not sufficient.
Another problem is burn in - those pixels are pushed much harder over time (especially to produce whites) and they degrade in time much faster.

We need more pics, thinking of swinging by a V store to check the phone in person. More pics, its nice to see more real world photos.

Selling my s7 so it competes just fine for me. S7 is a lag fest, loved the smooth htc 10 on the demo unit.

I know! Anyone who says their samsung doesn't lag is lying lol! ALL of my samsung's LAG. and badly. I have the note 5 now and that too has 4 gb of ram. i think it has to do with the ridiculous bloatware. Very excited to get my HTC 10. its checks every box for me.

usual bloatware was just a handful of Verizon apps like message, my Verizon, ..not too much now that they are not using two apps for the same thing like email and calculator etc.. speakers where interesting.. had a spacious sound to them, not stereo but not too bad I guess.

I went finally and I was really curious about hearing how it sounds in person and even though its not stereo sound, it gave this spacious like sound emitting towards you with that small speaker on the front.. I think the woofer helps out making it almost stereo like.. don't expect bass sounds out of it but low tones and highs where great!

Carrier bloatware can't create lag. Nothing beats Google's bloat :) It's just TW.

I counted 8 Verizon apps. Not counting the voicemail app.

I agree. Finally decided to brave going into a Verizon store, as I'm a very happy tmobile customer, because I wanted to check out the sound. It was definitely different, but not a bad different. Almost a very pleasant different. At least when playing red hot chili peppers - under the bridge on full blast in a crowded Verizon store. Lol

I also notice the capacitive keys when they aren't on. It's not something I will notice if I'm not looking for it but it is something I noticed.

It's s decent amount of bloat. This is why I was hoping to buy it unlocked to work on Verizon.

I liked it. The feel was nice. I never had a metal phone before and it felt amazing. It will be my next phone for sure.

So when the capacitive keys aren't active you can, still see them?
