Check port

Hi all. In the past 48hrs my phone has been notifying me with a "Check Port" alert. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S8. I've tried to place it in rice, tried to dry out the charging port but no luck. In saying so this morning it disappered for an hour or so, than it allowed me to charge my phone. The only issue i than found is when i plugged the charger in, it would not Fast Charge. The phone hasn't been
submerged in water so not sure what's happened. Any tips/suggestions to help rid of this? Have also tried turning on/off, restarting, wiping cache etc but no luck. Any help kindly appreciated.

Hey Dano. I do have a wireless charger and it does charge. I've noticed something strange, when it reaches full charge on the wireless charger the "Check Port" disappears but as soon as it drops off 100% it reappears.
Thoughts?

Try gently vacuuming The Port and use a qtip to make sure the contact area is clean.
Also, check The settings for charging. Disable Fast Cable Charging.
Lastly, clear cache and reboot.
