After recording a 720p vid ill go to play it and its choppy..it didnt do this in 2.1... anyone else have this problem..please check it out if you havent already

I'm having the same issue. Recently started looking at a few vids I've recorded after the 2.2 update and the video seems to lag a bit. Is that the same thing you're talking about?

Yes it is...it doesnt play smooth at all....i had the .3 leaked froyo..now i have the .6... same fing thing..thanks htc..on the other hand800x480 playback smooth..but i want 720p

No its the phone playing it back..it recireds the file fine so when u upload it to youtube its not choppy....its almost like the phone cant handel 720 p....but it can..id did in 2.1

I think I got it, go to Video, settings, fliker adjustment, select 60 hz. Apparently 2.2 does not auto detect. Kinda makes sense, It was a selling point on my Sammy 240 hz 55" led tv to eliminate "choppyness" when watching fast action sports.

Has anybody tried using a higher class micro SD card instead of the stock class 2? I don't know if that would work nor why, mostly just curious and hoping that would be an excuse for me to finally splurge on a class 6 16 gb :D

@Alextro, old videos recorded with 2.1 are choppy, record new videos on 2.2 with flikr adjusted to 60, it works, I have tested it. Now I am working on the battery life, which is worse than 2.1.

Guys, play the video once and its choppy. Close it and re-open it and the file plays fine. But then load it again for the third time and its choppy. So on.... give it a try.

evo

Yeah ive tryed that..but its annoying..really annoying..i want to open it the first time and it plays snothly...i use the video camera alot..even tho its not to good its all i have and it gets the job done...damn you htc for fing up the video player...and weres the video optimization that was supposed to come with froyo????? Come on htc...if you havent already please vote so we can get a accurate number..ill email htc with the problem with a link to this thread to at least see the poll..i want them to be aware of this problem

HTC can make it better.

Infact, Cyanogen got the Nexus One to do 720p recording better than the Evo... higher fps, I don't know how much exactly.

Exactly my point....they lens might be crappy from what i here but software is a big part of it..and the camera functions could use a bit of updating....over all the pho-e need to work better in low light and have higher fps 720 p recording

Also whats the best email to contact htc...ill probably just get a bs automated response but its work a shot this really bugs me_!!!

You'll get someone to reply to you and their responses are quick... but I don't know if they listen positively to feedback.

Bingo. Just tested it on 10 videos and it worked flawlessly! Huge thanks!
