Chrome beta refusing to DL

Spent an hour downloading all 175 of my apps. However, Chrome Beta refuses to download. It just sits there pending the entire time and I dont know why. I have rebooted and updated my security patch to no avail.

Does it have anything to do with the Play store update? Im still on July for some reason(maybe because Ive set up phone without SIM for now?).

Maybe try clearing the app cache/data for both the Play Store and Download Manager, then try again?

Tried that and force closing the app. Opened it back up and this is still what I see.

Just to be sure, you did it for Download Manager as well, right?

Maybe let it sit for a while and do other things on the phone, see if it ultimately installs after a little while.

I dont know if its because I currently have a fever or Im tired but I dont know what you mean about download manager. Its been doing the pending thing since I downloaded all my apps around 11am this morning.

Download Manager is a system app, so you would have to toggle the setting to Show System in the Settings>Apps list. Go to the full Settings>Apps menu, tap the Menu button at the upper right, then tap Show System. Now find Download Manager, then Storage, and Clear Storage/Clear Cache there.

Wouldnt you know, Ive been using Google phones since the Nexus One and I never knew that existed. Thanks for teaching me something new. However, that didnt help, and now I have another app that is sitting there stuck just pending along with the Chrome Beta app. SMH.

I went in to that and it was up to date.

However, I just got it to work by going to: Manage apps & device > Manage > Not installed > (scrolled down to chrome beta) checked box and download. It worked in an instant.

I dont know what the difference was but its there now.

Chrome has always been temperamental on my Pixels... but has never given me any grief updating or installing on other phones. Google browser on Google phone = trouble. Go figure
