Chrome browser really lags, what are you using?

Ricky, I understand that root is necessary to retrieve an APK. But is root needed to side load browser APK (v. 4.1.1 - non Chrome stock browser found on GNexus phone) to a stock GN7? If that's possible where can I get copy of that APK? Thanks

Ricky, thanks for the lead. My quarrel with Chrome is the difficulty in erasing cookies and history. It is much easier with the old stock browser. Again, thanks. Ray W.

I haven't had any issues with Chrome whatsoever. I use Chrome as my default browser and Firefox beta when I want to view a flash Site.

I cannot believe that worked. Ugh, I have a Bluetooth keyboard I like to use with it.

After buying xscope, downloading the older dolphin apk (uninstalled as it kept crashing), and trying both Firefox versions I'm now using boat browser and love it. Smooth, fast and reliable.

I have opened a case with Asus regarding slowdown on the Nexus 7. Could others with the issue please do the same. I don't know how to open a case with Google. If anyone does, please post a link.

There is an issue with the 16GB Nexus 7 that many people are finding.

If this tablet is filled up with files, e.g. video or music files, until there is less than 3 to 4GB free, the tablet dramatically slows down. Apps are very slow to load. The interface becomes jerky.

Benchmarks show very slow sequential and random writes. This appears to be the cause of the issue. The only solution appears to be a factory reset. However the problem will come back.
