Chrome Web Store on original Nexus 7

So completely of the wall here but, I would think a nexus device running 4.2.2 would have no issue running the chrome web store? Maybe I'm just looking at this the wrong way, but extensions and themes could be something I could use on my chrome browser on just about any device. I could just be explaining this wrong but I would have thought I could have access to this from my N7?

Chrome for Android is a little different from Chrome for Desktop or the Chrome OS. So extensions and themes on the Chrome Web Store won't work for Chrome on Android. It'd be nice, though!

I know right! I was just thinking about it the other day and went to try it out and gave me the prompt that I couldn't do it.

When they released the chromecast yesterday that was one of the first things I thought of with all these sweet chrome experiments being released. I wonder if there's a way to still cast chrome from my phone (Sprint Epic 4G touch S2) or my N7?
