Has anybody had issues with the Chromecast not being able to keep a solid connection to the TV? I get flickering horizontal white lines and the audio and video cut in and out constantly. I believe it is because my Vizio TV has horizontal HDMI ports. I tried it on my roommates TV that has a vertical HDMI port and it works fine. I ordered a 90 degree HDMI adapter off Monoprice. Hopefully that does the trick. Has anybody else had this issue?

Odd. Not sure orientation would affect things, short of anything being shorted out because of it. Weird.

Horizontal white lines? Check your TV's input to see if it only supports 1080p and does not up convert?

I think it might be the weight of the device causing it to tilt enough in the port to not keep a solid connection. My TV does take 1080p and 720p through HDMI as I've seen it auto change resolution when changing menus and settings with my PS3.

Just ordered one yesterday and today I test this.

The very first thing I get is white lines and blocks did you manage to reslove it?
Or is this a defective chromecast?

I am getting this problem too. I would be watching stream through Chromecast then all of the sudden I would get white static screen.

I would have to turn off my device by going to a different input then go back and it will be working again.

I wouldn't believe me either but replacing the chromecast power cable with the original (instead of what I was using) solved this for me today. Good luck!
