Cleaning out Note 8 Speaker

I have a Note 8. The speaker is very dirty, when I shine a light in the speaker grill, I can see specs of lint and dirt. I've heard people recommend using a vacuum to suck out the dirt, but will doing so damage the speaker/the waterproofing?

I use a case so surprising how in the recesses of the case around the outside of the ports I get lint speck build up from guess being in pocket a lot.

So besides of an occasional wipe of outside of the phone with a moist wipe, I just use a can of compressed air for the speaker and other ports. Just short lite spurts of air will do ya and put a light to the port and looks not a single speck.
