Clear ALL on the pull-down-notification-bar gone? choose earse and the notification badges diss..

This is a really enjoying thing that I struggle with, with my new S21 Ultra.

Why is the "Clear ALL" option removed from the Pull Down Notification Bar?
And the only options left you can choose atm is to slide it away or press "erase".



The big problem with this is when you slide it away or erase this notifications.
Then the notification badges also gets erased on all the different apps?



The notification badges should ONLY disappear when you actually go into the app and read the specific messages/mails etc.

Just because I clear a notification in the Pull Down Bar this shouldn't make my notifications badges go to "already read".

How can I solve this??

Rewrite Android. Nope, I'm not kidding.

When Google/Android added notification badges as a built-in feature Samsung chose to use that rather than "reinvent the wheel" to add their own badge process as was done in the past when it wasn't built into the OS. This behavior exists on all Android devices running Android 10 (?) and higher, when Google introduced the capability.

Hi, welcome to AC!
If you don't see the clear button try in safe mode, also on e you clear in notification panel it thinks you already dealt with that notification and will erase the notification on the app.

But on my last phone Huawie P30 PRO with Android OS,
I def could just choose the "Clear All" option on the notifications in the drop down menu and then I would still have the notification badges showing.

Because now I'm wondering if "Clear all" maybe is removed totally from the S21 ultra?

Well I can somehow understand that just that single notification will be removed then because it will be put in "already dealt with" but as you can see in my picture I have 47 unread mails.
And I did only "clear" that 1 mail notification.

That shouldn't make all the notification badges disappear when I just cleared one.

And the most logic thing is as I already mentioned that the badges shouldn't disappear at all before you actually go in and read them and entering the app.

Yeah start it in safe mode and see if "clear all" option is there .

For the notification unfortunately that's how it does it when you clear the notification panel .
