Clear Cache Partition time?

Just a question for everyone that occasionally wipes the cache partition from recovery like I do. I'm on my 2nd replacement and after I set it all up I wiped the cache partition but for some reason it takes longer than usual for the process to finish. Usually it would be like 2 seconds where now it takes around 35-40 seconds to complete. If you are someone who does this, how long does it usually take you to clear your cache? Thanks in advance.

Anywhere from 2-3 seconds to a minute or a little longer. It depends on what's in the cache and what's running. Nothing that's currently in use can be cleared (or the app using it would crash), so if you have a lot of daemons (Linux background processes) or Android background processes running (you can't tell by looking), it can take a while to check each one to see what data it's using.

Thank you. I've never had it take this long. I'm on a new device, got it Thursday, not rooted or running anything different than I did on the previous two Nexus 6 I had. It takes a little over a minute to wipe the cache partition. Is that OK? It's only ever taken me 2-3 seconds on any phone I've ever owned.

After a little researching on some forums it looks like I shouldn't complain. I've read some people taking 5,10,15,20 minutes. I'll gladly take a minute for this lol. Just seemed weird to me.

I do not have a N6 but I do have an N5 and it take me about a minute and a half.
