Clearing out files for space

My Nexus 6P is running out of space.
I was thinking of deleting some photos.
If I delete photos from the phone, will they remain on my Google account photostream? Or does deleting on the phone delete them everywhere in my Google memory world?

Do you use Google photos? If so, you can have Google photos backup all of you're photos to you're you're cloud (Google account), then within the app itself in the left side menu settings, there's an option to delete all photos locally from phone only. Try giving that's shot and see what you think. What size phone do you have my the way? How many apps, or what kinds of apps do you have on your phone?

Thanks for the reply man, I appreciate it. I'm going to look at that remove from device only option.
I have the 64 version. I could probably get rid of some apps. There's some dead weight in there for sure. I have zero music, so at least I know that's not eating up space.

No problem. See, for me, I have the 32 gig version, which is fine for me because I don't have any wasted or unused apps on my phone. I used to have tons of apps, over 100 or so, but I admit that I didn't use half of them. I have now only the apps that I use on a regular basis, and if I don't use it often enough, or I don't think it's important to me. I just uninstall it. Just my 2 cents.
