Clockworkmod Recovery showing a blank screen?

I've installed the latest version of Clockworkmod Recovery --> http://forum.androidcentral.com/fas...lus-new-root-instructions-updated-1-15-a.html
And I was able to backup my ROM with ROM Manager.

The problem is that when I manually boot into Recovery, I get the standard recovery menu, I select apply sdcard:update.zip, I get the CWM memu, but when I click on any of the menu items, the screen just goes blank and I have to bull the battery.

have you tried reflashing?

Before DL09, CWM was working fine. I had to manually apply DL09 (OTA was giving me IP_PREVIOUS_UPDATE_FAILED)

after DL09, I had to reflash CWM. Initially I used and old version that was just labeled CWMRecovery which had the same blank screen problem. So reflashed using odin3 v1.3 and CWMRecovery_DJ05_DL09 and I still had the blank screen.

After I saw yoru reply, i reflashed a 2nd time CWMRecovery_DJ05_DL09 and I still get the blank screen.

I am able to backup and restore ROMs with ROM Manager. (so all is not lost)

What button are you using to select in CWM? Hitting the home button will turn the screen off. You have to use either the back button or power button to make your selection

if you are using the right buttons at the right time, try reflashing cwm through rom manager again. you have to flash with odin first then rom manager, it will ask what you have, you select fascinnate and after its done it should work.
