This is a photo I took back on January 5th 2015 on my HTC One M8 GPE. I was sitting in my truck letting it warm up before heading to the AT&T store for work and I had to take a picture because of how cool it looked! I did not do any editing to it. Haven't had any good "cold" pictures since then since I live in Texas.

Post Halloween 2014, I captured this result of an unseasonably early snowstorm in southern Wisconsin (and my procrastination to run to the compost site). Goofing around with LensBlur in Google Camera on my old HTC M7 (no other editing done).

On our way to target a few weeks ago drove past these apartments and their beautiful "decorations." Drove back round to see it more closely. Born and raised on the east coast icicles are not unusually. BUT in central Texas. Thats another story. Turns out the "decoration" was actually the apartment from landscaping frozen over. My guess is they forgot to turn off the sprinklers over night. My Texan kids were in awe, never even seeing snow. Told my 4 year old this is were Ana and Elsa lived. hahaha She wanted to know which apartment and could we visit. And as a parent, i did what we do best, LIE. "umm we have to make an appointment to visit them, and they're all booked up till summer. But look at this pretty frozen flower."

For those of you in warm climates, think outside the box!

I don't think i have ever entered one of these before (at least not that i remember) so lets hope i get some beginners luck

It's a cold, but clear Monday morning and the penguins have just woken up from sleeping in their 3 x 4 beds, still dreaming about their festive weekend with the mobile nations team. They notice a big frozen coke bottle next to them with 9 little cokes inside still frozen from the previous nights winter chill. Luckily they have a ice pack near by to nurse any possible wounds from the previous nights classic beer pong tournament. haha ^_^

The photo below was take with a "Samsung Galaxy Ace Advanced" and i have used no special software to alter it in anyway. It's simply to gorgeous to alter. This lovely little photo and story came to be when 'Matty' found some motivation in the early hours of the morning to hopefully acquire a Honor 6X and upgrade his Samsung ^_^

Hope you guys like the photo and story! haha. It never snows where i live and only goes down to 10 degrees Celsius so i had to improvise with a story

Just an observation & please don't get me wrong. But I enjoy the contest which Android central & Michelle Haag create.. However & I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth.. But the current prize pack doesn't interest me. Most of the items in the current prize pack aren't very desirable. I'm hoping something more noteworthy would be added to the list of prizes in the near future.. IE Anker accessories, Travel Sims card, Car mounts, camera attachments, etc..

In other words, I'm looking forward to making a few photographic contributions myself in the near future depending on the prize packs.. Till then I'll enjoy those shots as offered by many who feel this prize pack benefits them.

This one was taken on Febuary 8th with my v20. It gets so cold up here in Grand Portage, sometimes our lake smokes. It's all good, it brings out the Minnesota tough.
I did some tweaking with SnapSeed.

During the winter in the upper Midwest, we are blessed with a rare phenomenon - sun dogs. The effect is created by ice crystals in the air, this photo in particular which was taken about 15 miles West of Fargo, ND, had a high temperature that day of about minus 21 degrees. To some that is not livable, or tolerable in any way shape or form, but the people here continue on with life. I was taking a back road to Fargo that morning to work and stopped on the side of the highway to capture this photo with my Pixel XL and slightly adjusted POP in Google Photos. Photo taken Tuesday January, 10th 2017. If this isn't cold, then your heart is - Enjoy!
