I would love any one of those free premium slacker radio subscriptions. I have been a loyal user and have been recommending slacker for years. I recommend slacker to all my friends and co workers. But most importantly help me not have to listen to fm radio with commercials all day by giving me slacker please.

Because it blows Pandora away in just about every way possible. It's like Satellite radio, without the hassle and cost, I can access it from my PC or my phone. I can't imagine having an Android device without it. It's perfect for road trips or if I just want to hear something different than what I carry around on my SD card. 
Slacker is better than Pandora because Pandora is almost too clinical. Slacker is straight up, if you like this band, you'll probably like this other band, while Pandora is all about sonics and music theories, which is ok for some, but for me it's all about the VIBE, and that's what Slacker has in spades. Plus, their library of metal is way better than Pandora. Having said all that, Pandora is pretty darn good too.
My friend has it and it totally kicks @ss .... broke college student who cant afford subscriptions though
Slacker Radio is great because of what it does. It provides you with whatever music you want to hear. It does it with little advertisement. Maybe with none if i win

I need to win this contest if I want to keep doing that. Reception in my office sucks no matter what carrier, so it's perfect for listening to music at work.
Slacker radio is awesome because it makes the days at work fly by. Can listen to any type of music for any "mood" I am in.
I wonder if the slacker app will look for android to recognize a "4G" network, or if it will just scale accordingly when connection is adequate (perhaps above 3-4mbps). In that case, WIMAX, LTE, HSPA+, and occasionally HSPA(both ATT and T-Mobile) would most likely see the bit rate boost. If true, very cool.
Station filtration is vastly superior to Pandora. Also, they have more obscure music than Pandora.

I was a former 1year Slacker subscriber and I took the plunge and decided to give Pandora a try. Man....what a mistake!:-! I have used my Pandora account way less than Slacker because the music selection is very limited. Slacker has a much better interface and better user settings. Slacker also has a larger library and better stations that are dedicated to a certain genre. Bottom Line....Pandora is whacker, so gimme back my 1yr Slacker!

My first experience with Slacker was several years ago when I landed a Slacker G1 off Woot! While the hardware was clunky and battery life terrible - I LOVED the service. Much better than Pandora. Last year I placed the mobile app on my work (BB Bold) and personal cell phones (Palm Pre then HTC Hero now HTC EVO) and I continue to be amazed of the quality of sound and selection.
