Re: Your HTC ONE Opinion.

Was this on the black anodized or the silver? Is it the same problem as the One S had (has)?

Re: Your HTC ONE Opinion.

If you look at the 360 shot of the One you can clearly see the plastic on it's edge. That said this is one mighty fine phone. I had a chance during the S4 demo in NYC to try the One. All I can say is WOW. This will be my new precious. :-)

Re: Your HTC ONE Opinion.

If anyone is concerned about battery life, you should read this thread.

Battery Life? - xda-developers

Warning--it is long, but worth it. Basically confirms what William Benson 1 said.

I read all 34 pages of that. Blimey, it was a long read, you weren't wrong! Great to see some senior users posting screenies of the battery drain though. By all accounts, teh battery life on the ONE is going to be very good indeed. I'd love to see how it compares to my S2 and iPhone 5 'in the flesh' as it were.

Re: Your HTC ONE Opinion.

I think it's interesting that no one has mentioned Blinkfeed thus far. I think it's an awesome feature and it's really a plus in my book. One of my main reasons to get a HTC Android device such as the ONE.

I'm very sad that there is no support for wireless charging. I know this is due to the choice of material but it's a feature I'd like to have and can see myself put to great use. HTC Sense 5 looks awesome, simply awesome. It looks clean and simple - it's just a great design.

Over all: Stunned by the software, satisfied with that hardware but sad there is no wireless charging.

Kinda pissed this phone won't be on Verizon...

Re: Your HTC ONE Opinion.

Yea it's to bad Verizon and HTC couldn't work it out. Regardless of the DNA this phone is like a new start for HTC. It's kinda like they've heard the consumer (us).

One phone every 9 to 12 months on all carriers and a very nice phone at that. As opposed to incremental updated phones every couple months.

To me it looks like HTC is moving in the right direction...

Re: Your HTC ONE Opinion.

After using the DNA which is a very good phone (excluding some quirks, which the One will have some of it's own, they all do) I'll be hard pressed to NOT have wireless charging.. a feature I'd not given much thought to at the time of my DNA purchase but has been near the top of loved features to date, it's just so easy. Alas with aluminum body this won't be happening for the One.

Re: Your HTC ONE Opinion.

I'm pretty sure the plastic is still sitting over top of the aluminum on the sides, the same way it is on the back.

Yep its polycarbonate plastic inlays ubove the ally unibody, feels very well built
