I am using ACE 2.0 ROM by Paul. Excellent and no problems. Until two days ago. My system just started giving me the force close message com.google.process.gapps. I ignore it most of the time, but it will not allow me to download from the market or a whole mess of other things. I un-synced my google accounts - all except the one attached to the phone. Should I re-sync a separate google account and then remove my main account and then re-load it?
OR is there something else besides starting it all over from scratch? I'm really hoping it's not an ACE 2.0 issue, since I just bought my wife and kid an Epic and telling them how wonderful ACE is.
Thanks for any assistance.

You could try booting into CWM and wiping cache/dalvik cache. Also do Advanced>Fixed Permissions.

If that doesn't work then I would backup your important stuff and reflash... Probably data corruption issue or something that just got in there ( I know ACE has journaling on). You still can get data corruption its just a lot less common...

I did the above steps yesterday. I then just figured oh well with the personal data since I was now getting many other force closes and just returned to factory default. That reverted it to ACE 2.0, but the same errors came up.
So I figured I'd start fresh. Wiped the system using CWM purple and cleared it and since I see Paul's been using Bonsai, I would try it too. Everything was fine as I was installing and adding my new apps. When I went to add a second gmail account - it froze. After 5min, I took out the battery. Afterwards I started getting Calendar errors. I did a Titanium backup because I'd downloaded a ton of apps. But this morning, I'm back to getting those same process.gapps error.
Bummer. What do I do. When I was using CWM, I did the 3x cashe, davik, and the other one I can't remember - just like qbking77 says in his video.
I'm at a loss.

I find that w/the leaked ROMs, I do a fix permissions about once a week w/things I download, updates, etc.

So it sounds like this all happens whenever you go to add in a second Gmail account.. Hmmm.. Strange...

I wonder if this is a custom ROM thing or if its even causing issues on stock OS....

I was having the same issue after the Gingerbread installation. I believe it happens because of some incompatibilities. If you have backed up your phone using Titanium Backup or similar you can get rid of this message by using the "Restore Missing Apps+Data" feature. I did that and everything went back to normal. Hope this helps. :)
