Comm Rom 2.0 with 2.1 patch question

ok..i want to flash the comm rom ukb 2.0 with 2.1patch that comes with the -50pbj kernel, i know how to flahs a rom but im reading i need to flash the 2.1 patch over 2.0...how do you flash over...and should i go with the one with the pbj -50 voodoo kernel or go with the no kernel verison..

Just flash 2.0 then flash 2.1. You will be fine.

If you like your kernel set up as is then use the no kernel version. Flashing over simply means that you must have 2.0 as your base before flashing. Boot into CwM wipe cache and dalvik cache then flash the patch. No need to do a full wipe.

hey thanks guys for responding..i currently have a novoodoo kernel just to allow me to keep the yellow clockwork, it wont let me do nandroid backups, but if i flash this rom with this kernel will i keep my clockwork..its yellow

I'm pretty sure that the PBJ doesn't include it's own Recovery, so as long as you have the disable lagfix file on your SD card, you should stay nonvoodoo with the yellow recovery.

I had a problem with PBJ locking up, so I guess my phone does not like it. I am back to OTB.
