Common issues and solutions

My LG G4 constantly disconnects from WiFi. I have tried to forget the network and add it again but I still get the pop up telling me there's an authentication issue. The password is absolutely the correct one and other devices do not have this problem.

Does it do this for all secured WiFi or just that one? Are other devices 5ghz enabled? I don't really have an answer, I'm just looking for ways to further diagnose the problem.

Also, if you haven't done so yet, I would recommend starting a new thread in that main g4 forum... you'll have better luck getting answers.

I am having the same problem. I've done a bit of research and I've seen this same issue posted several times in various places with no solution offered. Example: https://community.verizonwireless.com/thread/913636

I am also on Verizon. What's your carrier?

There are several threads about the "bootloop" problem, but it usually ends up doing an actual loop, where it keeps on booting, rather than just having the power button not work.

I know this might be a quick one so I wanted to post it here.... Anyone know how to disable the STUPID "Location found" message I get 20 times a day ? Disabling GPS wont work, as I use WASE every morning (saved me a few times from police locations on the highway)

I've never seen a message like that. Maybe an app that you are using? Is someone tracking you?

Have a weird problem on my brand new ATT G4 serial starts with 404 (?)
Any time I attempt to uninstall any app at all the phone immediately reboots. Also cannot open the security settings menu, just get an "android settings has stopped" error.
Any one else ever seen this?

You should probably start a new thread in the main lg g4 forum. My thoughts are that you have a malicious app installed. Try restarting the phone in "safe mode" (just google how to do that... it's pretty simple) and see if you can uninstall apps and access the security settings.

My phone's ois panel is a bit scratched, and it seems to work OK. You might want to start a thread in the forum if you're looking for more responses.

hi my g4 served me well for more than a year and for the first time ive encountered this "collecting battery info..." it is not changing, it took 10 mins to add 1% the charging time took me so long ive tried to switch charger and cable but still no changes... any advice?

I suspect it's your battery. You might want to post a new thread in the g4 forum, as you'll get more folks reading.

I'm having same problems this morning check phone it come on I took battery out and then plug phone in it work then battery back in still I put while plug then it showed how I charge then turn on I don't get it only time Then I turned it off and charge it up and it turns back on automatically by itself why do I have to get a new phone
