Confessions of a Phone Hopper

Hello my name is chuck and i am a phone hopper.

I thought Pixel had me slowed down to at least yearly episodes of swapping and the Pixel 3 is looking to change that. I have been through and iPhone X back to Pixel 2 X to Pixel XL and now to an iPhone SE. I have been savingup money and one new phone purchase will be coming before Christmas. What is the best 1000 dollar phone to throw my dollars at?

For me Note 9. I HATE apple and although I liked the Pixel XL I had, I the notch on Pixel 3 makes me cringe.

Marketing in big companies tend to work in a bubble. Perhaps some are so bubbled, they think the notch is a feature, so want to make them even bigger. Kind of a reverse mullet.

Wait! I have an idea: Let's get rid of the headphone jack, card slot and add a notch. Bingo! We gots ourselves a hit!!

I am still torn myself with regards to what I should do. I have the S9 plus, however I just came back over from Apple. Been a couple years. I am still within my 14 days of having the phone and can return it for a 45 day restocking fee.....what do I do? Is the new phone going to be worth it??

My suggestion is to visit a Highstreet Store that has a working Note 9 on display and have a play with it

No-one can tell you what you should do but as your considering the change I'm thinking your 80% already there in your mind anyway.

Ha ha. I've hopped a lot and keep coming back to Samsung in general, and the Note series in particular.

I have had too many to list and right now I have the One Plus 6. Thought I would have kept it for a while but I always keep coming back to Samsung. It's my cross to bear.

I am hoping I will be able to keep this one for a while. Of course, I say that with every phone. Ugh.

I skipped on the 8 because of the Finger Print Scanner location.

I'm definitely a Phone Hopper. lol

This year alone I had the Samsung S9, S9+, LG V30, Essential and my current OnePlus 6.

I will get the 9 because it's pretty much like the S9+ with bigger battery and improved S-Pen. The reason why I sold the 9+ was because of poor battery life.

How do you become a phone hopper? Do you just sell like on craigslist and/or Facebook Marketplace and the like to hop phones?

For me a phone hopper is a person who does not either stay with a phone originally supplied on a mobile phone contract for full time by selling it and charming phones.

Or a person who buys their phones outright and changes them either before a year or when the next new model comes out.
