Confirmed coming 5/8

Coming from a Pre- to a HTC Hero (replaced because my Pre sucked) to a Nexus feels like it would be a good upgrade. I may go ahead and jump on this one!

With Google functions (specifically Voice) getting more integrated with the Sprint network, I believe they will... just me thinking and wishing.

I hope so. Because the Nexus S doesn't seem to be going back to AT&T, whichakes me wonder if they will continue to release the Nexus line on Sprint. But you are right, with the Google voice integration, that may become a reality.

bestbuy online is now showing the following estimated ship dates-- i take it no one received theirs yet? previously had express at 5/2 -5/5

standard: 5/9-5/12
expedited: 5/9-5/10
express: 5/6 - 5/9

Called BB twice this mornng to check shipping status and got hung up on twice while on hold. Lol

Looks like people are starting to get their hands on the phones today...woot

NEXUS S 4G FOR SPRINT

I did a reverse lookup on the phone number in the ad, and apparently it is both a cell phone number and a landline number. Both numbers belong to telemarketing company.

Also, just as an FYI, Sprint says that none of the Nexus S 4G ESN's will be recognized by their system for activation until May 8. Best Buy is also being fined for any phones that are being sent out BEFORE the May 8 street date - per standard store/vendor contracts. There is no early delivery/sale early clause in the contract.

Update: I have confirmed the above with Best Buy Corporate.

If I don't get a shipment email this Saturday, I'll cancel the order and just go buy it at the store on Sunday....

My status on BestBuy.com still says "InProcess" but my online banking account is showing a pre-process transaction coming through today.

I understand that Sprint probably won't activate any nexus S phones till May 8th. However, I think that Bestbuy will start shipping these phones off either tomorrow or Saturday so that people can start receiving them Monday or Tuesday. i just can't see Bestbuy waiting till Monday to ship these phones off...especially when people have preordered weeks in advance to be one of the first with the device.

We will know for sure by Saturday, won't we......muwahahahahaha

Actually I wouldn't care overly much if they allowed me to get one on Friday or Saturday but for the fact Sunday is Mother's Day....I'll be spending some quality time with my wife, kids and mom and a Nexus S will wait until Monday if I cannot get it before then.

Best Buy delivery estimates are not based on the release date, it is just an automated calculation that figures x number of days from today. Sometime between this morning and now the cutoff for placing an order to be shipped out today was reached and all the dates advanced. It will happen again tomorrow, and the day after, and the day after.....

thanks- but many people were hoping the ship date was accurate and thought they were getting the phone before 5/8 - obviously that's not the case
