One more question.. does it "fade blink" like MacBook Pro LED standby light or just "hard, sudden blink".
Thanks!!
Not all Android phones hard-blink. I know that at least the EVO 4G does soft-blinking (for one of the LEDs, at least. I don't have too much experience on that, my boss had one).I assume just hard blink like all other Android phones, but you never know I guess. It could happen
Yeah, when I jumped from BB to the Droid X, I was sad that it didn't have a multicolored notification light. When I had my BB, I had emails, texts, calendar stuff, and incoming calls all come in as different colors so I knew what I got a glance at the phone.
I'm hoping for one here in the Nexus!
Presumably it will keep blinking until you either clear them out or at least peek at them in the notification shade. That's how they worked in Gingerbread (when actually, AOSP ended LED notifications when the screen came on at all). Honeycomb I believe keeps blinking until you clear them out.Does it stay blinking until you actually clear your notifications, or does it stop after a period of time? I like the idea of a notification LED, but what bugs me about it on the Thunderbolt is that it stops after, like, five minutes. Which kinda makes the feature useless, yanno?

I think it's a fade blink. It's not a hard blink, if I am clear about the differences, from my Desire LED.One more question.. does it "fade blink" like MacBook Pro LED standby light or just "hard, sudden blink".

Maybe I could film it down when I have the chance and you guys can see for yourself. I really think it's a soft fade blink. Or the whiteness is just soft fade.I assume just hard blink like all other Android phones, but you never know I guess. It could happen
Don't think it stops after a period of time. I can't recall if it gets cleared once I wake the phone up or not...Does it stay blinking until you actually clear your notifications, or does it stop after a period of time? Galaxy Nexus one is definitely a slow fade. It grew my patience out to see its repetitiveness lololol. With Honeycomb the notification light will come on with a notification in standby obviously. Simply bringing it out of standby will stop the notification light from blinking even if you don't check them and put it back into standby. You can peak but by that point the notification led won't be coming back on until the next notification in standby.
To an early post. The xoom has a fade blink. It will blink on fast then fade out.
My fear is that fade blink often comes with a single color notif light![]()
