(Confirmed) Multicolor Notification LED

Now I am confirmed to be purchasing this phone. Thanks a LOT.

Haha. It sold me too. Its really the small simple things like a multi colored LED that make a difference in this crowded market today. Wish manufacturers would take note.

You made my day! This phone is worth the wait.

Re: Multicolor Notification LED

This is fantastic. Thanks for the video man.

I wonder how it'll work with the phone. Like if you have a missed call, it lights up green. If you have a text message, it lights up blue. If you have a missed call and a text, does it go "Green-Blue-Pause"?

Re: Multicolor Notification LED

I did not try with the other application that forces SMS or something to an LED light, but so far, I can only get Google Talk to appear White LED. SMS has no notification LED lights. =|

And no problem guys. Just glad to help out. :)

Lyk, have you noticed if multi color notification support is built into the people app? it would make sense if people (contact manager) had ability to give people individual colors. just curious.

I will do a check and get back to you all, may be another 2 days. =P

its not in the general settings nor in the mms.apk settings in the emulator. I wonder if I have to set set LED to true (haven't even attempted to see if that was an emulator setting).

I wouldn't worry about the software lacking a setting. The hardware is there. This is a nexus phone. We will have the ability to do what we want.

This. Remember, the apps themselves determine if and what the LED blinks. In Handcent, for example, I can dictate if the LED blinks and what color. So how it performs is app-specific. As long as the hardware is capable, we can make it do what we want it to (not sure about the alternate-color thing, though).

CyanogenMod will definitely add custom colors. I don't see nightlies taking all that long to start after release.

Some people don't understand that a multicolor LED brings possibilities to different notifications.

First time uploading a video on Youtube, first time to experience backlashes. It's life.
