Confirmed: Verizon Nexus One Cancelled

You know ferniesp could be right...but there are also those people that like to come in forums like this and p#ss on people's Wheaties.

yeah, i dont get what they're doing with this phone. i understand companies put millions into marketing and maybe google is happy to save those dollars and stay outta the red from the start but the nexus one has been just popping up on networks so it wouldnt surprise me to wake up tomorrow and be able to purchase my new phone. (or hopefully late tonight when i get home)

Fingers still crossed but it doesn't look promising for a March 23rd release. Sprint's HTC EVO 4G looks like an awesome piece of hardware but I prefer Verizon's network coverage and I don't like the Sense UI.

Not to mention he Nexus One still has an edge for the fact Android updates can be pushed quicker.

I don't like Sense UI for some reason. :/

I used to like Sense, but that was back when the stock android looked... "blah" for lack of a better word.

But now, to me Sense looks almost child-like and not professional enough. I know I know, all superficial but it matters to me.

Well maybe this has been mentioned before but I just found out how to sign up for google to notify me when the Verizon N1 will be available. No more checking multiple times a day. :o

Anybody else think we might have a surprise in store for us? Is it any wonder, that verizon will be the last to get the N1? You know the old, save the best for last, deal. I am just trying to be optimistic.

I have fun checking multiple times a day.

I dont understand why Google wont give a solid release date for this? Why keep it a secret for so long? Just let us know if the release date is March or April or May.

Wow... Bummed that no release today, or any mention thereof. Android Central didn't even mention the absence of news!

However, I almost don't care after seeing the Evo 4G. I'm pretty comfortable saying I'd switch to Sprint for that complete monster of a phone. That thing makes me not care about the N1 so much!

That said, I don't intend to wait much longer for my new phone. Is there any release date mentioned on the Evo? I haven't found one. Google, it's your loss at this point if you don't announce the N1 VERY soon...

I might just end up waiting for the htc incredible if they don't release the N1 by the end of this week...Google your f*cking up...just release it already

Hi All,

New to the forum here. I was hoping that someone had insight into the Verizon N1 release. Its seems like everyone is just as frustrated as I am. I did notice one thing after checking Verizon's site. After doing a search for "nexus one," it now directs you out to Google's phone site. This wasn't the case before. I don't know. Do we consider this progress?? lol

I wouldn't count on that. I signed up for the notification, and have yet to receive any updates, even when the 3G ATT version came out. So you can sign up for it, but I'd still check here and everywhere else each day. :)

Actually I did this as well back in February and just went back to resign up...when you click on notify me...you get the choice of what you want to know about...and it's N1 & VZW and/or N1 & Vodifone. So we wouldn't of gotten an update about the AT&T release.

This is going to get old....just like waiting for the official 2.1 update for my Eris. Eventually I just stopped caring about it. Oh well we will see if there is any new news tomorrow.....
