Confirmed: Verizon Nexus One Cancelled

It's actually the same processor...however the Incredible is underclocked at 768Mhz compared to 1Ghz(1000Mhz). Aesthetics is important to me...so I've passed on the Droid and I will pass on the Incredible for the N1, plus I'm kind of a Google Fanboi...I love the complete integration of Google system.

I knew there was something wrong with you Tater. :D

The fact that the Incredible is underclocked from the factory has not really been officially released. (At least from my random web searches.) I've read some info that says it's completely not true. We'll just have to wait and see. That being said, this will be my next phone if VZW doesn't subsidize the Nexus One. Hopefully we'll hear something tomorrow!

Yes hopefully tomorrow...and hopefully they don't wait until they announce it at CTIA to begin selling it. I just saw that the the 2010 3G CDMA Forum is schedule for 12:30pm-5:00pm GMT...so that means earliest is 2:30pm CST and 3:30 EST! I will be going nuts all day! I'm in CST and 2:30pm+ would be brutal!

underclocking the snapdragon I'd say is a good thing... it's a battery hog... so that will help... the biggest beef with the Nexus I have is battery life...
How long does your battery last? And what are you doing on the phone to make it last that long?

I too am anxiously waiting for the N1 to be available for the Verizon network.

Question for those who know, since I'm switching carriers would Verizon be able to transfer my US Cellular contacts from my blackberry to the Nexus?

I'm not sure about BB, but I just saved a vCard of my contacts and then imported it into my google acct.

I did some searching and may have found another solution. I installed Google Sync to my blackberry. It automatically syncs your contacts to gmail. From there they can be easily transfered to the Nexus One.

smart way to do it. once i decided that i was done with blackberry and switching to android i setup a gmail account and google sync so i wouldnt loose anything

Google sync is actually pretty nifty. You can set it to automatically sync your contacts so if you add a new contact on your phone it will be safely backed up to your gmail contacts. (I don't use gmail for anything else so this works well.)

Is google sync available for android or is it built into the OS?

Its built in. You can turn it on/off for each gmail address you have & even facebook as well.

I hope it releases before 2:00 today so I can order it and overnight it and have here tomorrow......

Remember the show's in Vegas - so that's like 2 hours behind any of us East Coasters

3 hours difference right? I always get confused with time zones. I'm central time here in wisconsin so that would be two hours for me. When does the CTIA officially start?

I seriously don't think it's being released today folks. In fact, I will almost gurantee it. Will it be announced? Probably, but not coming today for purchase. Trust me.

You may be right but remember t-mobile's version was available the day it was officially announced. AT&T and Rogers Wireless banded N1's hit the online store with no announcement at all, (to my knowledge).

At any rate, time will tell. :)
