Confirmed: Verizon Nexus One Cancelled

Yup, the INC is the newest thing and everyone's over there. I'm joining that party a week from today unless the N1 drops before then :) Weeeee...

The Incredible just looks/feels cheap.. thats why if I was still on Verizon I would be fighting on with my Droid, waiting for the Nexus.

c'mon Google get your @$$'s in gear! We want this phone real bad!

Like the design refinements but I doubt we will see them...

Well with the new buzz about 2.2...I've caught a second wind and now am willing to wait until Google I/O 2010...which is May 24th & 25th. Another month...I've been waiting two months already...what's another month.

So I'm thinking this will be released with Android 2.2 (as I've already said) and 802.1n. I'm still getting the Incredible next week, but I may use the 30 day return policy if this is relased on May 19 or 20.

I didn't plan to show this but since it's a slow day posts wise.

I photoshopped a few hardware changes to the N1. Personally I like the N1 the way it is but a few slight tweaks never hurt anybody.

Alright, nothing crazy going on here:

Optical track pad, (it would be nice to delete the thing all together for more screen real estate)
dual flash (why not?)
I actually borrowed the camera from the Desire giving it a slightly different look.

But what else can you think of, notification light at the top?
The optical trackpad looks sick. I wish that little ring in the trackpad was an LED indicator and would light up different colors depending on the notification.

Have you physically played with the phone? I have not, but I definately dont think it looks cheap. Neither do any of the several reviewers I've read on the web. In fact, most people that have actually touched and played with the phone and have done a review like the feel. The only thing I've seen that could be considered a negative is the way the whole back comes off for battery replacement. But to me that's minor.

My wife definately prefers the softer curves of the N1, but she's going Incredible for it's features. I personally think the Incredible suits me better also.

So basically you guys want the Incredible in a N1's body? :D

Actually, yes. The N1 is much nicer looking than the Incredible.

I like the Incredible better. I don't even like the "brownish" color of the N1. My wife however likes the N1 better because of the softer lines.
This makes sense, her being a woman and all.....read into that what you will. :p

The Incredible is not uni-body and therefore will not be as sturdy as an N1. Also I've read that the Incredible is SUPER plasticy. I'm just hoping that the N1 gets a number of it's issues cleared up in the CDMA version. Between improvements like a better touch screen, more accurate buttons along the buttom edge of the screen, and a serving of some fresh and tasty Froyo... the Incredible won't look so Incredible.

BURN!!!! Good One!

What is the expectation for the release of the N1 at this point? Before the Google I/O Conference or during it? I'm still think that it will be during it. I think they will show off Froyo on the N1. Thoughts?

On another note my hope for Froyo is that it will include Flash, 802.11n, a tethering app and the color trackball.

N1 coming sooner than I thought. My expectation is that Verizon would get the N1 before Vodaphone.

Brown? Mine looks like it silver with a slight purple tint if anything, not brown.
