Hey everyone. First post here.
I too am eagerly awaiting the VZW version of Nexus One. The wife and I are currently stuck back in the dark ages with LG enV2's, and I've finally decided it's time to upgrade to a smartphone. Well, the wife is probably going to get the enV3 since she doesn't have any need for an internet capable phone. But the time has come for me to take the plunge. I was going to get the Droid until I saw this beauty (N1). So anyway, here I am.. scouring the internet for any morsels of info as to when the N1 will be available on Verizon. lol
Also, I'd like to weigh in on the internet versus in-store debate. I would rather purchase the phone directly in-store. Because that way I would be assured that my new-every-two would apply to the purchase. I'm also worried that if it's purchased directly from Google, I may not be able to get on the family plan I want. It looks like this is the case for the T-mobile version.
In any event, I am patiently (NOT!!!) awaiting any concrete evidence as to when the N1 will be sitting in my grubby little hands.

BTW, I also agree that Apple is starting to feel the pressure from Android. No, of course Android does not have anywhere near the market share as iPhone (yet). But it's growing a whole lot quicker. And just look at all the great products HTC is putting out (now or very soon). HTC is still a relatively small company, but is positioned to really dominate Android sales. It's no wonder Apple is gunning for them now. I actually feel sorry for iPhone users. Because if Google gets pulled into this mess, well, there goes native support for GMail (and googlemaps, search, etc.) on the iPhone. Something about biting the hand that feeds them...
