Well I am going to back off and stop looking for awhile and just be happy with my Eris. It was nice waiting for the N1 because it took my mind off the update for the Eris...lol.
nickacs- you can get an eris for about 200 on ebay. Don't waste your NE2 on the eris. I have the eris as well and am anxiously waiting to dump it for the nexus or Incredible, probably nexus.
I forgot that my VZW 2yr contract doesn't end till 5/31/10, so even if I did want to jump ship I'd have to wait till then w/o paying penalties. So, if the Incredible/N1 aren't till Q3, I'm thinking about going with the Eris.
Chuck, you like the Eris? I played with one a little back in Feb and liked it but when I heard N1 might be coming, I held off. I hate the bulky Droid, but think the Eris might be "ok" for the interim. I hate to use my NE2 $100 up on the Eris and not Incredible, but at least I can get the Eris for free now![]()
When and where did you hear that Vodaphone was getting it on the 16th?Just a thought but isn't vodafone rumored to be getting the N1 on April 16th? That would be next Friday. Since we are all hanging around debating on the release date this would be another thing to try and pay attention to.

The AT&T N1 is out, so thats 2 carriers already.I know Google is trying to do things differently with the release of the Nexus one made available through their web page, but i started to wonder what if T-mobile got some kind of deal with them where they would be the only Carrier that offers subsidizing for the typical 6 months? I know we don't want to believe Google would do such a thing but maybe for a Carrier to subsidize it they had to submit to T-mobile's wishes and since T-mobile got a deal with the G1...
Anyway just a thought but if so that would mean the N1 wouldn't be available till the 5th of June which is still in their Spring time frame, not that i want to believe that but time will tell I guess...
After all how long can it take to change the radio hardware and release the next version.. The FCC approved it back in February.
