Confirmed: Verizon Nexus One Cancelled

Whats wrong with a trackball?

You've never owned a blackberry before I guess. Or a mouse that wasn't optical.

Gunk (I.E. your dead skin bits) gets into it and can muck up the senors and make it un-usable, requiring you to remove it and clean it.

And if its a tale of a blackberry: Them just falling out.

Ohhh you have no idea how many issues I've had with the trackball (I have the BB Tour, which has the worst trackball of any BB). My thing is that what all could you possibly use it for? And I doubt you'd use it enough to get that much debris (except for maybe dust/lint) in it to have to clean it.

I just think that doesn't really make that big of a difference since you don't need it like 98% of the time.

Really? Made me stay away from track-balls all together

So I stupidly left my phone back home (hundreds of miles away). It'll take me 3 days to get it back here, or MAYBE, it'll only be 3 days until the Nexus One gets here. Crossin my fingers...

Verizon Nexus One Releases April 12

That is likely not anything about the Nexus One. First clue: the phrase on that leaked document, "It's new, unique, living exclusively on America's Largest and Most Reliable...". The Nexus One will not be "new" and "unique" and exclusive to Verizon starting Monday.

It is very possible that Google will release the Nexus One on Monday, but I am sure that this document is not talking about the N1.

I agree with the wording, but I will remain hopeful.

Well the rumors that the VZW version of the N1 will have something hardware related that none of the other carriers have could lead it to be 'new, unique, and living exclusively on America's Largest and Most Reliable.....'

but I'm not holding my breath - I think I'll take my phone money and go buy a lawnmower instead...

ozcarguide is a junk site that has put out numerous false and questionably sourced articles. I think they're doing it just to get the google hits from people such as you or me who are desperately searching for new information.

Monday's event is the launch of new Microsoft phones. Google launches new products on Tuesdays. 4/12 is not a Tuesday.

Yes, from what I found online it is the Windows Pink phone...

I apologize that I can't remember the exact site, but I saw something online this weekend that said the verizon nexus one would have an 8mp camera. Proof me right or proof me wrong, so be it. Who else thinks that would be awesome. That is the only thing in my eye, that is interesting about the incredible. Sense is ok, but I can live without. Facebook is driving me crazy.

Some sites refer to the Incredible as the Verizon Nexus One (considering the hardware is the same). That is not the case - they are two distinct devices.

I'm not sure why people assume the N1 will be the big announcement tomorrow

It won't be released until some time....

The more and more I see and the closer it gets to the release date....the more I think the N1 and the Incredible are the same phone. Just check oiut the latest on Phone Arena. Now it just has to be released and hopefully by Tuesday and not April 25th like it says on Phone Arena...

They said it was coming with a surprise and maybe the surprise is the improved hardware......

Actually they are VERY similar!

Minus the 3mp difference in camera, optical trackball instead of a physical phone. Other than the parts having different manufacturers, they have the same specs it seems.

But you are correct in that the N1 and the Incredible are both coming, and are both not the same device.

I really don't think the N1 and Incredible are the same phone. Different looks from everything we've seen leaked on the internet between the two phones.

Still don't believe Google wants to sell this in stores as it would almost admit defeat right now.
