And at this point, its really the only thing that makes sense. Its pretty obvious that the Incredible and the N1 are different phones, but I do think that they are going to be released at the same time. The Incredible through Verizon stores and the N1 online, just like everybody else has speculated before.
I still know people who would prefer the N1 over the Incredible. I'm still on the fence.Yup, if the N1 doesn't drop by the time the INC does the last week of April, Google might as well just delete the VZW area off their website. Because they will get virtually no one to buy it once people can play with the INC in stores and all the other "perks" (NE2, warranty, etc) that go with a phone in store.
Google, ya f-ed up my friend. Good luck with the future of the N1 on the other carriers cuz it sure won't help on VZW.

You can disable it. And thats one of the reasons I'm kinda leaning towards the Incredible now. I'm not a huge fan of Sense, but some recent videos of Sense on 2.1 make it look really awesome. Plus if I can disable it, its like the best of both worlds. From what I've read you can disable Sense if you don't want it
Pretty much boils down to whether you want Sense UI or not. Personally, the N1's lack of Sense is its biggest attraction. The other differences between the N1 and Incredible are minor.

sense makes it looks like a child's phone in my opinion. Touch screen phones are already hardly professional looking and thats without sense.
From what I picked up, the delay is because of Apple's lawsuit. If they dropped the phones on the market with that litigation pending, it looks REALLY bad, as if they are trying to unload them prior to the injunction. They have fill out the paperwork requesting relief first (meaning, the court OKs their right to sell what they have with the assurance that any patent infringement can be recinded through a software update.)
Incorrect. First, I believe that if they knowingly hold up imports, they are basically admitting that there is possible infringement. HTC will not stop importing phones until the ITC rules that they must (which will likely be immediately stayed pending appeal.)
IF HTC were reacting as you describe, they would immediately stop selling all of their infringing phones, selling out existing inventory. Also, since the lawsuits were filed, they launched the GSM phone with AT&T bands, and T-Mobile released the HD2, which is one of the phones allegedly infringing on Apple's patents.
The "delay" has nothing at all to do with the lawsuit. (And, since Google promised a Verizon N1 in "Spring 2010", it is not delayed until the end of June.)
I think apple timed the lawsuit to try to stop the AT&T release of the N1 as well. If you look at the timing, the lawsuit was placed exactly 2 weeks before the release of the N1 for AT&T.
With an injunction request, HTC would not have to stop selling any products, but they would have to restrict the introduction of new products. That would also explain why they did not announce at CTIA as was expected.
