Confounded Advertisements in Android

I updated from a Blackberry Passport to a Samsung Galaxy S8+.

Two major things are apparent.

1. the thousands of popup advertisements
2. a bloody program called Boxbe that has invaded by email programs.

Tried to find an Adblocker, but none of them seem to work.

Boxbe is a weird one, no idea where it came from, where to find it, or how to remove it.

But is the confounded advertisements that I want to destroy! How to do?

If you mean Bixby, that's Samsung's answer to Siri, a digital assistant. You can probably turn it off in settings if you really don't want it. (I use Google Assistant, the one that comes with stock Android, for a lot of things, but it never shows up unless I ask it to.)

As for the ads, that has nothing to do with Android, that's websites and emails. If you go where ads are sent to your phone, or click on emails you're not sure of, that happens. One of these may help you. (Stay away from anything made by Cheetah Mobile, the least harmful thing they do is steal data from your phone,)

How long have you had the ads for? Do you recall installing any new apps prior to the ads starting? Under what circumstances are the ads coming up?

You've likely installed an app that brought those ads along. I have a Pixel 2 XL and a Samsung Tab S3 and neither have any "confounded advertisements". Neither have the devices that came before them.
