New to rooting and ROMs. I'd love to get my galaxy note 2 running stock jellybean with the best bits of Samsung without the bloat ware.

Is there a rom that provides this and could I be pointed towards a guide to rooting please? Many thanks.

If you just want to get rid of the bloatware you don't even need to flash a new rom. Once rooted you can use something like titanium backup to get rid of the bloat. You can then stay on the stock touchwiz that comes with it. If you want a vanilla android experience you'd have to flash something though.

I recommend cleanrom 1.5 if on att or cleanrom ace for all others. It gets rid of the bloat and is as close to stock as you will find.

It cones with quite a few extras and you are able to pick and choose what you want during the install using an easy to use touch interface.

I agree with the CleanRom. I had good battery life before, but now it's excellent. No glitches either.
Screenie of battery

Take a look at Omega ROM for nice features with better performance and battery life.. ( what I use now)

Look at D@ulNote for highly themed ROM

For a 4.2.2 ROM with a mix of CM, PA, AOKP, look at JellyBam (jellybam . Com)

For just some better performance and better battery life without any features or look, just stock .. look at Android Revolution HD

Also a nice customizable ROM with many nice features you can choose from in the installer .. look at Phoenix ROM

Also I recommend Perseus(4.1.2 only with up to 1.8 GHz OC and UV) or Redpill(4.1.2 and 4.2.2 AOSP with up to 2 GHz OC and UV ) Kernels
(all these ROMs has their own threads in XDA ) ..
