Connecting to WiFi when there are different user options?

I've got an unusual dilemma when trying to connect to the WiFi at my place of employment. When I log in using my laptop, in addition to entering my username and password, I'm presented with a drop-down menu of three options, including "Employee" and "Guest" (I forget what the other one is at the moment.) However, when trying to connect with my phone in the usual manner, there appears to be no way to make a similar choice, and I can't connect.

Anybody out there ever had a similar problem? If so, were you able to find a solution?

Are you logging into your company's wireless through a web portal?

OK. So my best guess is:

1. Connect the phone to your company's wireless
- In settings, choose "Wireless & Networks"
- WIFI Settings
- Select the Network name for your office

2. Open the web browser to finish the logon procedure. Generally, wireless access that requires a portal logon, will generally redirect any web request to the portal. So you might try accessing google.com.

If that doesn't work, you'll need to ask your IT department. I'm not sure how your company has setup their wireless infrastructure.

+1. If you open up the browser, you usually just get a cached version of google.com or your homepage. Just pick a page that requires data (from google I just choose news) and it should give you the portal.
