Considering Pre 2 to Android

I'm considering moving from a Pre 2 to Android phone. Biggest concern is the lack of multiple cards at once. The only "task" I regularly perform is talk on the phone (speaker) & open the calendar to make appointments. Is this possible with an Android phone? Also am very concerned about battery life.

I primarily use the phone for calls, text, calendar. I currently have a "rooted" Nook Color so I'm familiar with the available apps, etc.

Any suggestions, direction would be great...Thanx in advance.

I moved over to Android from my Pre+ and admittedly, multitasking with cards is the one thing I miss most about webOS. However, everything you GAIN with Android far outweighs leaving cards behind.

You can still talk on the phone and make appointments with Android. It's just not as seamless as webOS. While in a call, on speakerphone, press the home key. Navigate to your Calendar app (either through the app drawer, or a homescreen shortcut) and add or edit events.

The call will still be running in the background. You should see a notification up in the notification bar reflecting this. But you can still do anything you need to in other apps. At least ones that don't use internet.

I'm pretty well versed in both webOS and Android now, so feel free to shoot me a PM if you have any questions. As much as I loved webOS, I absolutely ADORE Android, and hope you will too.
