Hello Guys,
Hope you can help me with this problem. A few days ago I have updated my phone (Samsung Galaxy Nexus) to Android 4.2.2, after the upgrade I found all my contacts were missing their numbers, pictures and ringtones associated to them.
I did not have the gmail synch on, but with the upgrade it synched automatically, now I can only see their whatsapp numbers, but cannot message or place a call from the address book. I cannot see my contacts' name on the call lists, and in my messages. I tried importing, exporting, all the different display options, but nothing seems to work.
I believe I saved them in the phone, do you know if I can select the phone memory option or how I can sort this?

Thank you

If you did not have sync on and did not have all of those addresses in your online contact list I am pretty sure they are gone. Best thing to do would be to rebuild your contact list online and let it sync.

But I did not delete them, I remember saving them on the phone memory, I tried anyway getting into that, but no results so far...
How do I actually display my phone contacts?

You have one contact list. If a person in it has the phone number filled it is shows up in the list when you open the dialer. If you only have an email address, it will not show in the dialer but will show up in your list while in gmail. Are your gmail online contacts still showing up on the website? if not, what happened is when the phone synced after they had been deleted/scrambled by the update on the phone, online took that as an update and garbled them there as well.

I am afraid you will have to rebuild your list. Do it online and then let it get synced.... and this time leave sync enabled. :)
