My apologies if this might be considered a double post. I put an entry about this into another thread about Contact Name sorts, but this issue goes beyond that, and I think it deserves its own thread.

I just discovered that the Contacts List with 2.2 on the DX does not display any item that consists of a Business Name, with no Individual's Name. I have bunches of those on my DX, and I can no longer depend on being able to easily pull them up on my phone. This amounts to a loss of phone functionality, which I believe is a very serious issue, at least it is for me.

I've been searching, without success, for an alternative app. Also wondering if there is any way possible to pull back in the old Contacts app as a stopgap measure.

Instead of putting the name in the Given name or family name..scroll down and list it under organizations under work tab.. and that will display it in your contacts.

I already have all of the Business Names in the COMPANY field in Outlook 2007.

Where that Business Name entry and a phone number (but no individual name) exist in Outlook, and are successfully synced to the Google Contacts - they Do Not get included, nor do they appear in the DX Contact list. That setup was working fine in 2.1

Thanks for trying to help. I appreciate it, and I hope my first response didn't sound too snippy. I didn't mean it that way, but it reads a bit different than I intended.

I'm a bit worked up on this issue, because I think it's really important, and I think most people won't realize that there is a problem until they try to find one of their business numbers.

No solution to offer, but feel your pain. Thanks for asking a question that needs to be answered. I'll be waiting for one also ...

I finally figured out what was causing the Business Contacts to not appear on the DX Contact list.

As it turns out, and I don't have a clue why, if there is a non-numeric entry in an Outlook Work phone number field, for an individual record, in my case the word"No", that Contact record won't appear on the DX contact list. Too weird, but unlikely very many users would encounter it.

I'm going back and removing it from each record in Outlook.
