Contacts ringtones not working

I have been using Zedge ringtones for all my contacts. But all of a sudden and reverted to default. I tried resetting it it just refuses to use Zedge. Anybody got an idea? I have tried everything.

Are the ringtones saved to the Ringtones directory on Internal Storage, or are they on an SD card?

Internal storage. When I go to contacts choose a contact scroll down to ringtone and try to change the ringtone from the fault using the Zedge storage ringtones it just goes back to default.

Can you try uninstalling Zedge, then reinstalling it and downloading those ringtones again?

Alternatively, use My Files to copy the ringtones from the Zedge directory to the Ringtones directory, and see if that works.
