Contacts

I need a lil help. my mom suddenly decided she wants all of her contacts backed up to her gmail account. only problem is she has entered everyone in as a contact on the phone only. ive been searching and reading, is there a simple way to move her contacts to google contacts without having to delete everyone and reenter them in? thanks in advance for anyones help.

Open your phone book (people), hit menu, import/export, export the phone directory, when finished, import to the google account.. I never tried this but it seems like it would work..

Once the contacts are on the google account you can prob wipe the "phone" contacts right off the phone
