Finally a gift for my uncle...
My uncle is 94 years young. Back in the day, he was a very famous photographer. He was a regular photojournalist for Life magazine, Look magazine, Time and a few others.
As he approaches the end of his life, all he enjoys doing is sitting and going through his old photographs. He was in North Africa during WW2...He was in Vietnam...you name it, he shot it. Sometimes he would sit and tear up over the memories these photographs would bring to his recollection.
Sometimes, I would sit for hours going over the thousands of pictures in his collection...I'm his caregiver, as well.
Well, for about 5 years now, he's been slowly losing his eyesight. He had cataract surgery about 6 months ago, but it's so very hard for him to see. He can only look at the pics now for about 10 minutes then his eyes hurt because of the squinting, I think.
I've already scanned thousands of these pictures to my laptop, but it's still not big enough for his to see.
I have the EVO and would love to have this docking station so I can transfer the pictures to my EVO and then play them on the TV he has set up in his bedroom...It's not a real big screen (45") but it's a lot bigger than my laptop.
Anyway, I've been looking for a way to make his final days as enjoyable as possible...I think this would work. : > Thanks!
