hello i have had my whole family switch their phones to the evo total 23 in my family and my wife family most of them switched from iphone3gs and iphone4 to evo and now everyone loveit and i have recommended 5 of the family tech lovers ho switched to evo to read about android from this site the android central they all love their evo and 3 of my co-workers now converted from blackberry to evo. i have hdmi cable i really need the dock cause i wont to show my son graduation video that i took with my evo on thanksgiving all 43 family members coming to my little home just for food and i would like to suprise them with my son graduation video using my evo that now almost everyone of our family member have but i would like to show them the video using the dock. thank you

Too late, I moved on

Color me a defector. I love my EVO, but I have been waiting for an HDMI dock for too long, so I moved on.
First, the phone was out of stock. Then there was no HDMI cable, even third party one. Got the cable, tried the HDMI out - software limited to gallery slideshow and stock video app, graphics chip quite weak, 720p almost unwatchable. Then I couldn't wait for an official FroYo update any longer and moved to CyanogenMod, which still lacks HDMI support (supposedly coming soon). Then I put the Palm Touchstone coil inside a soft TPU case, wired it to the trimmed, cut-down-to-size, superpuper short MicroUSB plug, which is constantly plugged into the phone. Charging on a Touchstone, syncing via WiFi and Astro.
So, here I am, with HDMI unsupported ROM, always-on phone case and covered USB port. Please, give this HDMI dock to someone else, someone who still wants it.

It would be an honor to receive an EVO dock for my beautiful EVO that I've had since launch day. I remember when the EVO was rumored to be the Supersonic, which isn't a bad name. Perhaps it was a little too long. The Desire HD doesn't have an HDMI out right? So this dock won't work for it right?
