Corporate / Exchange Calendar - Past events not showing

I have several Motorola Droid Maxx running version 4.4.4 with a strange stock calendar issue that I haven't had any luck fixing.

Past appointments do not show on the calendar. Recurring calendar events, today's events, and future events all work normally.

I've got some other devices that work just fine, none running 4.4.4 though.

Are the calendars set to sync past events? I believe that if you set it to sync 1 day, it only syncs present and future events. Past events are deleted.
