Costco - do not sell before 12-14

Ugh I just lost my LG Voyager yesterday (yes a POS Voyager). I have no phone till this comes out =/

I want this phone more than I have ever wanted a phone before, but the more "delays" it has -- even with no "official" release date -- the less and less that I want it. I'll still break down to it's sex-appeal and buy it though.

Tomorrow is my day off so that would be perfect (however, I did save 2 hours of personal time this year in order to get the phone)

Dude ANYTHING can change at this point.

Even after I have the phone I won't believe anything I see on any of the blogs or forums.

omg, i would rush the hell out of him. i'd let him know that i gotta get this done quick, cuz i have to get to the airport to catch a flight. hopefully, the employee would feel rushed, and...overlook the "do not sell" note

what would be funny is if we had completed the transaction, activated the phone and as i'm walking away...he looks at his computer and finally notices the note "do not sell till" and he yells out to me...and..... i run out of the store. lol

ive actually used the rushed tactic to get employees to miss things.. got a snowboard for 100 off this way.

A sales price of $199 would really soothe all the anguish and stress, and totally be in the Christmas spirit.

<sigh> Never happen, I know, I know...

I was in Costco today in Portland Oregon and they said it would be available on Friday, the 9th. They had a mock-up that they let me see and hold.

I don't believe you, nor do I believe anyone who says "I talked to (fill in the blank)_______ and confirmed (fill in the blank)_______ as the release date. When Verizon announces it, that's the real date. Period.

Yup. I am done.

I just bought my unlocked GSM model tonight. I have an unlimited data plan with AT&T and decided to keep it for now. It should arrive on or before Friday. Have fun, people! See you on the other side...

I don't blame you since you were already on AT&T. I have the GSM version also but I'm still waiting on the Verizon model. T-mobile has a $49.99 unlimited everything small business package that I'm tempted to take. I'm realizing that having 32GB of storage is not as important to me anymore. Google music works very well even on edge in my city.

I'm not really wanting to leave Verizon for phone service though. I already have a Xoom and Mifi and it's really nice to have everything on one bill.

Meh, I could recreate that in MS Paint. Costco's original leak said the 9th, I'm going with that. My local VZW reseller just got their promo material in.

It doesn't mean he's lying. He could have been mis-informed. I talked to a Verizon rep yesterday who said they're selling them when they get a shipment today lol

Agreed. I also have AT&T U-Verse, so having it stay all in one bill is nice. I only have 6 more months left on contract. I can survive without LTE until next summer. I use lighting fast Wi-Fi all the time anyway, and I have never had any issues with AT&T in the last few years. Great company, in the Bay Area at least. Still, VZW is better, but I remembered why I left them the three times that I have over the past decade or so: they never have the phone that I want when I want it. Ever. Case in point: Gnex and iPhone.

Finally! I've been waiting for weeks for confirmation on the Snowflake Pathway Lights!

I had talked to some guys at the Verizon store yesterday and they told me Friday also. It was weird because it was right before I read Phil's post about it maybe being pushed back. I'll still call them tomorrow before I leave work just in case.

Yeah, during my first stint with Verizon they never had the phone I exactly wanted but I wasn't into phones like I am now. Verizon is a strange company. I've never really had a issue with them except once long ago when they messed up my bill but, it got straightened out. They are much better now and their customer service is greatly improved. When I go to the store everyone is always really nice and helpful.

Although I've been frustrated with this launch, customer service goes a long way with me and it's part of the reason I'm willing to tolerate waiting on this phone.
